How to get to Big Ben

There are several important airports in London. From the largest, Heathrow Airport, you must take the underground train headed to Arnos Grove and make a change in Earl's Court, where you must take the District line to Upminster, and get off at Westminster. This trip will take about an hour. Another option from Heathrow is to take the Heathrow Express train, which is a bit more expensive than the underground, but faster. When you arrive at Paddington station, you must take the underground (Circle line in the direction of Victoria) and get off at Westminster.
From London City Airport you can take the DLR train to Bank and get off at Canning Town, where you must take the underground (Jubilee line to Stanmore) and get off at Westminster.
From Gatwick Airport you can take the Gatwick Express train, which will drop you off at Victoria station (from where you can take the underground), or the Southern or Thameslink lines (both reach London Bridge, from where you'll have to take the underground).
From Luton airport you must take the Thameslink train to West Hampstead station, where you can take the underground.

On the other hand, if you get to the city by train, it is very likely that you should depart from King's Cross station. From there you can take different underground combinations. The fastest is to take the Victoria line towards Brixton, get off at Green Park and take the Jubilee line towards West Ham and get off at Westminster.
